What version of Gabble are you compiling, and where did you get it from? Gabble
hasn't included group and properties mixins since sometime during the 0.5.x
series; we're now up to 0.6 (stable branch) and 0.7 (development branch).

Please try a current tarball release (0.6.2 or 0.7.2 from
<http://telepathy.freedesktop.org/releases/telepathy-gabble/>), or if you're
interested in contributing to Gabble development, a clean darcs checkout from
<http://darcs.collabora.co.uk/darcs/telepathy/telepathy-gabble>.
