[Telepathy] Initiate a text chat/ channel

Hi,

I am having problems understanding , hot to initiate a text chat. Can
anybody please give me some pointers
or an example, if possible?
Also, How I do I run

I tried with
./jabber_mux_example .gabble/jabber/vikram_2efugro_40gmail_2ecom1
But I dont see it going online, from the remote side and how do I give
a password to it?
