What is it?
===========
Empathy is a messaging program which supports text, voice, and video
chat and file transfers over many different protocols.  Empathy is the
default chat client in GNOME, and is based on the Telepathy framework,
making it easier for other GNOME applications to integrate collaboration
functionality.

What's New?
===========
SIP accounts can now be marked as being able to make PSTN calls. Such
accounts can be used to call landline and mobile phones of contacts.
At the moment, this is only possible if the IM contact is linked with a
contact from Evolution's addressbook containing at least one phone
field.
