I understand the situation.
My basic question was why only the kde applet was abandoned among three
functionalities (applet, systray, toolbar-qt) originally provided by
uim-qtkde-helper.

I hope it may be easy, but may be not.

Anyway, I will continuously enjoy (and fight with) uim. Thanks again!
