We are willing to pay for support should anyone be interested in spending some time on the issue.

The issue is as follows :

We are using ffmpeg with vdpau decode and transcode live sources into h264 ( HLS ). We also have some sources that are also mpeg2video source and we using nvenc to transcode to h264 ( HLS ) .

The mpeg2video source always uses GPU decoding and is working perfectly. The h264 sources however have trouble decoding. The GPU goes up for 1 – 2 seconds and then stays at 0%. This means that it cannot decode h264 streams and therefore it loads up the CPU’s as it has to decode in order to have it transcode back to another format. Can anyone help on this ? I have had a few people who are supposed to know this stuff very well try it and they both failed. Claiming its something wrong with the vdpau library and it would take a long time to figure out what is wrong with it. I am looking for assistance as I have been stuck on this for several months.

Thank you
Sandro
