Summary: Client side decorations cannot be deactivated with
wayland backend
Classification: Platform
Product: gtk+
Version: 3.11.x
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: Normal
Component: wayland
AssignedTo: gtk-bugs at gtk.org
ReportedBy: lionel.g.landwerlin at linux.intel.com
QAContact: gtk-bugs at gtk.org
CC: rob at robster.org.uk, wayland-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
GNOME version: ---
I understand it has been chosen to make client side decoration in the wayland
backend enabled by default. Some compositors (esoteric ones I concede) might
choose not to do so.
Attached is a patch to let wayland decorations enabled by default but
deactivated if explicitly deactivated by the GTK_CSD environment variable.
