            Bug ID: 85780
Summary: RFE: Delay trackstick events in case of key presses
           Product: Wayland
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: Other
               URL: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=617932
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: lowest
         Component: libinput
          Assignee: wayland-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: peter.hutterer at who-t.net

Triggered by this GNOME bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=617932.

Request is to be able to disable the trackstick to avoid accidental input. This
is currently possible in libinput with the sendevents configuration, a better
solution may be to delay initial trackstick events for some minimal timeout and
wait for key presses to occur. If the key press is one of KEY_G/H/B/N within
the timeout, take the trackstick movement as accidental movement and discard
it.

I consider this nice-to-have at max, to be implemented in a period of idle
time.
