            Bug ID: 93531
           Summary: Add Tap-to-click finger to button mapping support
           Product: Wayland
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: Other
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: libinput
          Assignee: wayland-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: gennady.uraltsev+bugs at gmail.com

Currently the default mapping for tap-to-click on touchpads is:
1 finger -> left mouse
2 finger -> right mouse
3 finger -> middle mouse

For quite many years the default (with synaptics) was

1 finger  -> left mouse
2 finger -> middle mouse
3 finger -> right mouse

and personally I prefer this because middle click pasting is quite more often
used than right-clicking

Currently I have not found any way to remap number of fingers to keys.

The relevant documentation seems to be here:
http://wayland.freedesktop.org/libinput/doc/latest/tapping.html

Thank you for your attention.
