I can't seem to reproduce this with the recording. One thing I noticed in the
recording is that there are a couple of double-touches (e.g. at time 0.598979).
the touchpad goes from one finger to two and quickly back to 0, then one finger
again. I wonder if that's one of the triggers for the bug.

Either way, I can't trigger this with this recording, sorry.
