good luck figuring it out :) I should also note that the xserver's ptraccel
code doesn't take those numbers unchanged either.

If you know the difference between acceleration, velocity, etc. then you're
IT-literate enough that it shouldn't matter :) for anyone else not calling it
speed will be quite confusing.
