Bug ID: 747116
Summary: Cursor animations in Wayland backend are broken
Classification: Platform
Product: gtk+
Version: unspecified
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: Normal
Component: Backend: Wayland
Assignee: gtk-bugs at gtk.org
Reporter: thatslyude at gmail.com
QA Contact: gtk-bugs at gtk.org
CC: rob at robster.org.uk, wayland-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
GNOME version: ---
I'm not sure if this is reproducible on the Gnome compositor, but I can
reproduce it reliably on Weston. It seems that the cursor animation timing on
the Wayland backend is mostly broken. If you compare the speed of the animation
of the, say, watch cursor, it's almost always faster then the one on the X11
backend. The speed of the cursor seems to be rather erratic too. If you launch
./test/testgtk and run the cursor test, every time you take the cursor in and
out of proximity of the application surface, the speed is different.
