Right, but exactly how do you type those characters when they work? Do they
come from simply pressing a key, possibly with some modifiers? Or do you need
to use compose keys? Or do you use an input method (see
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Input_method )?

What are you waiting us to do? Arda said configuring the keyboard layout
correctly solved the issue for him, why does that not work for you?

If it is related to GNOME keyboard settings, you should ask in a place that is
related to GNOME, even if it happens only with GNOME/Wayland and not GNOME/X11.
Keyboard setup is specific to the DE, not Wayland.

However, if the question is really about compose or input methods, then I
suppose there is more to discuss.
