I'm going to punt this to VirtualBox, for two reasons: you say the desktop
itself is fine so it indicates it's not a stuck button in the x server or
something. And second, the evemu recording shows normal button press and
release events. If the button was stuck we wouldn't see the release event
there. And then we'd see it on the rest of the desktop too.

sorry, not sure what causes it though.
