Bug ID: 97147
Summary: Touchpad not recognized as clickpad, cannot force the
setting
Product: Wayland
Version: unspecified
Hardware: Other
OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: libinput
Assignee: wayland-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org

In my HP Stream 11 there is a clickpad (button under the trackpad). The
property INPUT_PROP_BUTTONPAD somehow isn't set for this device.
In X.org I use the following configuration in:
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-synaptics.conf
Section "InputClass"
Identifier "touchpad catchall"
Driver "synaptics"
MatchIsTouchpad "on"
Option "ClickPad" "true"
[..]
EndSection
There doesn't seem to be such an option for libinput. Because of this I cannot
use the clickpad properly. For example right click doesn't work, or drag and
drop with pressing with one finger and moving with another.
