Since today afternoon git://anongit.freedesktop.org/git/wayland/libinput is not
working.

This is probably a git repo issue but I didn't find any forum to report the git
related issue.

Below is the error seen:
git clone git://anongit.freedesktop.org/git/wayland/libinput
Cloning into 'libinput'...
fatal: unable to connect to anongit.freedesktop.org:
