When this was implemented, I didn't have much to work with (just the
horizontal/vertical maximized state).
I think it would make sense to keep this somewhat vague overall 'tiled' state,
and add more information where we can (e.g as more GNOME-private states in the
Wayland case).
Information that would be useful to get:
- Which edges should get a drop shadow ?
- Which edges should be resizable ?
