I tried a bunch of different very small values, but honestly, for my hardware
none of them were better than simply having it off entirely. Since the feature
itself is essentially a workaround for lousy hardware, it would seem preferable
to just be able to turn it off. Or--horror of horrors :)--have the value be
adjustable so people can dial it into their own hardware.
