I spent the rest of the day today, running it under Windows. Eventually, after
a couple of hours, I was able to reproduce it under Windows 8.1 too.

That led me to check Lenovo Support Forums.

Almost the entire Yoga series seems to suffer from the problem. Lenovo stated
in some of the threads that it may be a software problem. But I doubt that.
Let's see... I'm going to try a couple of sw fixes, with very less hope.
