The problem is still present with libinput10 1.10.4-1, so out of the box, this
touchpad is not working anymore on the soon to be released Ubuntu 18.04.

I don’t think the users should have to fiddle around to get this very common
touchpad working on the new Ubuntu version when it has been working flawlessly
for years on the previous versions.
