Copy/paste has been issue #1 (literally!) after gitlab migration:

mutter: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/issues/1
gtk+: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/issues/1

And Carlos has posted fixes there. Could you try with those patches applied?
