Bug ID: 106425
Summary: Touchpad jitter on Dell Latitude E7240 with 1.10.6
Product: Wayland
Version: unspecified
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: libinput
Assignee: wayland-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: ckoresko at atlanticbb.net
Created attachment 139401

Rather long capture made with 'sudo evemu-record'. Multiple jitter events.
I'm seeing intermittent but frequent episodes of high jitter (mouse pointer
"flutters" at a high frequency between two roughly stable positions while the
finger is touching the pad but not moving). The flutter is much fast than the
speed the real finger could achieve. The flutter begins when the finger is
moved. Once the flutter begins it tends to keep going until the finger has a
large motion or lifted.

I don't seem to have touchpad-edge-detector on this OS (Fedora 28).
