A draft of the interface
First quick draft of the interface, without any actual implementation. Basic
approach is: a config option that tells us if the direct mode is available.
When enabled, the events are effectively touch events (but in a different
interface) and with a few tiny difference in the semantics, e.g. libinput will
always provide at least one slot.</pre>
