<pre>Thanks for those instructions. Turns out I hadn't actually applied the patch
before and my observations were just the placebo effect. Oops. Removing
libinput.so.10.10.4 and jiggling a symlink made the new one apply properly, and
what a difference! It *is* better for the use case described in this problem
report--not good enough to close it out, but it's definitely better. I can now
draw smaller circles with the touchpad than I could before, but still not small
enough. I'll play with the hysteresis again now that I'm actually able to test
code changes locally.</pre>
