        <pre>ah, that's true:

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.input-sources show-all-sources true

will allow everything to show up in the u/i to be selected, and I can verify
that it works for me.

At this point, I'm ok with having this either closed or appropriately marked as
a duplicate of whatever other Wayland-vs-setxkbmap bug already exists...
