<pre>for a patch this simple, you can just overwrite the system copy and restart
X/Wayland. Alternatively, you could install it into a custom prefix and change
the /usr/lib/libinput.so* symlinks to the new version. Or build a new debian
package with the patch included and install that, that way downgrading is
easiest.
I'd go with the simple make install one for this patch here, afterwards you can
force-reinstall the debian package to overwrite the files with the package ones
again.
