so you're not moving the pointer but effectively roling the finger around?
If so, some pointer movement is expected because what the touchpad detects
as the center of your finger moves around. The exact amount of pointer
movement obviously changes as you move but this seems about alright. If I do
the same here I can pretty much position the pointer on any pixel I want.

keeping a grasp on the bug when the relevant information requires scrolling
