There are lots of complaints about Libinput's touchpad acceleration magnitude

There is a simple solution: make it user-configurable. Pointer acceleration
preference is no less subjective and user-specific than pointer speed
preference; an exposed acceleration setting would fully resolve the issue so
you don't need to rely on the subjective impressions of a bunch of internet
randos to come up with a reasonable default for millions of disparate users and
hardware devices.</pre>
