<pre>Linux distro: openSUSE Tumbleweed
libinput version: 1.7.0-2.1
There are lots of complaints about Libinput's touchpad acceleration magnitude
(<a class="bz_bug_link
bz_status_REOPENED "
title="REOPENED - libinput touchpad acceleration tracker bug"
href="show_bug.cgi?id=98535">https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98535</a>).
There is a simple solution: make it user-configurable. Pointer acceleration
preference is no less subjective and user-specific than pointer speed
preference; an exposed acceleration setting would fully resolve the issue so
you don't need to rely on the subjective impressions of a bunch of internet
randos to come up with a reasonable default for millions of disparate users and
hardware devices.</pre>
