Sometimes while interacting with windows I stop being able to use the keyboard
with them. Switching away to another application and back again will fix the
issue.
I think this has mostly happened with epiphany for me, but I just had this
issue with glade (after adding a label). I think it might be related to a
dialog/menu of the same application opening and closing.

I do realize that this is not enough information yet and that it may also be a
mutter issue. The ancient and unresolved <a class="bz_bug_link

 title="RESOLVED INCOMPLETE - Keyboard stops working"
 href="show_bug.cgi?id=489200">bug #489200 seems somewhat similar.

I'll add more information as I learn more about this issue.
