<pre>Since version 1.7 the touchpad is reenabled on lid switch even if it was
disabled before. In my case this means when I open my laptop (thinkpad x1
carbon gen3), and it unsuspends, I have to go into gnome settings and toggle
the on/off-switch for the touchpad to have it disabled again.
I would guess that commit f1cf83425edd4fa64ac6601e569e10f8bc95324b is the
culprit since it seems to unconditionally resume the touchpad in
tp_lid_switch_event.</pre>
