For some reason, the touchpad not disabled issue seems fixed too. I really hope somebody fixed it upstream while I was working on this, otherwise I would have no idea on why it works. I didn't spend too much time figuring out how libinput really works and how the functions I changed are called, so I might have fixed it in the wrong place.
