I am sympathetic. Yet, (1) I find it hard to do what you want of me, and (2) it
seems likely that many people will be affected by this bug.
In elaboration of 1: `man evemu` produces nothing; `man evemu-tools' produces
nothing; I find nothing on the link you gave about the file the recording
produces.
An inference from 2: the onus here is on the developers.
I add: I have fixed this problem to my satisfaction, in that I have have made
the synaptics driver work decently; I reported this problem in an attempt to
help libinput and those who use it.</pre>
