Not really, the goal of xdg-output is not to address this, its role is to
expose the current monitor layout (including resolutions and position) in a
more desktop oriented protocol.
In practice, it is used currently mainly by the compositor to expose the
current "logical" size to Xwayland, in the case of fractional scaling for
example.</pre>
