Compositor in X11 mode runs fine, but not in DRM mode.

In X11 mode, compositor and clients (I've tested terminal and flower)
work just fine. When I'm running compositor in DRM mode, it runs (I
can see background image and cursor), but any client fails with
message: "sent request to invalid object". I'm running compositor and
clients as root.
