Can't get the source code of Wayland

$ git clone git://anongit.freedesktop.org/wayland

Works from here (in 3.04 seconds).  I thought maybe it could be a port
blocking issue, but when I point git at a server not hosting git repos,
I get:

"errno=Connection refused"

Have you verified your git install works with any other git repos?

I am getting the same IP for anongit.freedesktop.org - 131.252.210.176, and
downloading by IP instead of host works 
(git clone git://131.252.210.176/wayland)


(Also, IRC can be more useful when you wait a few hours for an answer.)
