Hi,

I am trying to do some research on inputmethod functionality on wayland.

I tried compile wayland on my HP-8530w laptop with NVIDIA Corporation G96M
[Quadro FX 770M] graphics card.

I followed instructions provided on the build page and upgraded my linux
kernel to 3.7.0-030700rc8-generic. After upgrading the kernel i noticed
that when i run ctrl+f1, ctrl+f2 usual terminal is not coming. It is
showing a blank screen.

After upgrading i compiled all wayland packages. And now when i run
./weston it shows up a black screen with no mouse. Also on terminal i am
getting below error. Did i miss something? Please help.

manish at manish-HP-EliteBook-8530w:~$ export XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=/tmp/
manish at manish-HP-EliteBook-8530w:~$ cd install/
manish at manish-HP-EliteBook-8530w:~/install$ cd bin/
manish at manish-HP-EliteBook-8530w:~/install/bin$ ls
cairo-trace wayland-scanner weston weston-launch
t.log wcap-decode weston-info weston-terminal
manish at manish-HP-EliteBook-8530w:~/install/bin$ ./weston
