I talked with Jonny privately, and decided to push this patch. While
it's not urgent and is far from perfect, it adds fairly
essential functionality that has been missing so far: being able to
open popups (menus) with a touchscreen. I don't see it possibly
breaking anything.

It turns out serials are quite broken all over Weston anyway.

So, pushed.
