To create the attached log file I ran:

    $ weston-launch –-verbose >/tmp/weston.log 2>&1

Starting `xterm` from within the Weston terminal emulator fails:

    $ xterm
    xterm  Xt error: Can’t open display:
    xterm  DISPLAY is not set
