when will Wayland be mature enough replace X.org

When will Wayland be mature enough to replace X.org?? I just wanted to know, as it seems to me that this is the only X Window System that have hardware acceleration in mind. I just want my CrunchBang Linux (using OpenBox) to be extremely responsive and fast, the video playback as well...
