I'm going to be cutting the alpha in a week.
Here's our schedule[1]:

  - 1.12-alpha around Aug 16th.  Major features done by this point.

  - 1.12-beta around Aug 30th.

  - 1.12-rc1 around Sep 6th.

  - 1.12.0 release around Sep 13th.
