[PATCH weston v2 0/4] Libweston version numbering for releases (BLOCKER)

Hi,

patch 1 is the same as before.

Patch 2 had some text added per Jonas' comments.

Patches 3 and 4 are new.

All these patches are release blockers; they need to land before the release
tomorrow so that we have our versioning right from the first release.
