Hi Bryce,

all pushed:
   4e221f0..720e0c9  master -> master

The macros in patch 2 still evaluate their arguments multiple times,
but I reviewed all calls and none seem to have any side-effects, so it
should be safe for now. Just need to remember that in the future.
