The Arch way would be to install the deps from the PKGBUILD (using the ABS [1]):
	# abs
	$ cd $(mktemp -d)
	$ cp /var/abs/extra/libinput/PKGBUILD .
	$ makepkg --syncdeps --nobuild
but these aren't the simplest instructions...
