writing my own screensaver

Hey,

thats sad to read. Anyway, I read that DPMS is the recommended way to switch the display off.
I found the idle-time configuration in the core section of weston.ini, but it does nothing, no fading out or switching the screen off.

Is there another way I need to use? Can I somehow manually trigger weston to switch DPMS off and On again?
