Hi Pekka and Daniel,

Do you have thoughts about this protocol proposal?

I have an Mesa patch [1] and a wlroots pull request [2] that implement
this version. However all the modifiers stuff hasn't been implemented,
because wlroots isn't (yet) ready for this. Do you think it would be
more reasonable to only add the preferred_device event in this version
and add preferred modifiers in a second version bump?
