There was just a report on the xorg mailing list that someone with
Slackware has (probably) the same problem, and Josh saw this in Debian a
bit before I did since he runs unstable. I'm still kicking myself that
we didn't track it down then: we could have limited the spread some.
I got a stack trace from the segfault -- it's some 30 calls deep -- and
it dies trying to free something. But the call history doesn't make it
at all clear to me what our stuff does that tickles this new bug.
