I've updated the branches (forced push) accordingly to the comments.

Mainly that means, I've removed the XInput series to have a look if I
can manage to make a <fieldref> point to a list and handle it correctly
and therefor don't need to add a ref= to the <popcount>.

"Make xsltproc optional" has been adjusted to the comments from Uli and
additionally sent to the list.

"c_client.py: Always initialize xcb_align_to" is gone.
