Ok, let's try something else:
- Does anyone mind having a xcb-proto minor release with just the RANDR 1.5
patch included?
- Are there any other patches in xcb-proto which you would like to have in a
release?
(- Will distros rebuild their packages against a newer xcb-proto if there is no
libxcb release at the same time?)
Looking through "git log --reverse -p 1.11..", here are some suggestions for
patches to include:
commit e6b0b4da4a6942171cef767f31008614f96ec3a3
Author: Christian Linhart <chris at DemoRecorder.com>
Date: Wed Aug 13 15:39:14 2014 +0200
xinput: ChangeFeedbackControl: add missing pad
commit 8e3db42d67a0035bb16d16da28bd5eea7a269178
Author: Christian Linhart <chris at DemoRecorder.com>
Date: Wed Aug 13 15:40:07 2014 +0200
xinput: SetDeviceModifierMapping: fix length of pad
There are many more align pad patches which might be safe to include, e.g. all
the "add align-pad at end"-patches.
Opinions?
commit 6b832a008ada81a98d4a7d3c2d6834e5a1fb50a9
Author: Michael Stapelberg <stapelberg at google.com>
Date: Mon Jul 27 09:28:11 2015 +0200
randr: add RandR 1.5 requests and data types
commit e500bd837be8366830deb703a7d22d13020fe4c5
Author: Ingo Bürk <ingo.buerk at tngtech.com>
Date: Mon Sep 21 22:36:36 2015 +0200
Fix examples which use xcb_connection instead of the correct xcb_connection_t.
Also, the shortlog since the last release is huge. We really should also work on
a new major release. What's missing? Is anyone working on the missing bits?
Cheers,
Uli

actually landed a starship before.
- That's all right, Lieutenant, neither have I.
