A question

Hi there!

I tried out totem (a gnome movieplayer-frontend ) on my KDE-desktop yesterday!
Unfortunately fullscreen mode doesn't work as on the GNOME-desktop. 

Is there any specification that will present desktop-properties to an 
application in a unified way ?

The same goes for karamba. (I know that gDesklets exists, but I don't want 
this thread to become a discussion about why I like karamba or gDesklets. )
