Constant URL references

Folks,

For documents like the Desktop Entry Standard, could we have a link in
the directory containing the spec that points to the latest version?
This way documents can point to a URL and know that it will always be
the most recent version of the specification document. Pointing to
something like
http://www.freedesktop.org/Standards/desktop-entry-spec/desktop-entry-spec-0.9.4.html will go out of date when 0.9.5 is released.

We should keep the versioned filename as well, of course. But just a
symlink from, say, desktop-entry-spec.html to the latest version would
be nice.
