Ok, below are some comments.

This should probably be "SMIL source code" or "SMIL script" according to
the guidelines, depending on how it's used.

All these should probably say OpenOffice.org instead of just OpenOffice.

Perhaps rather "desktop configuration file".

> <mime-type type="application/x-dvi">

I'd rather prefer "TeX DVI file" or "TeX device independent file".

> <mime-type type="application/x-font-type1">
> - <_comment>Fonts</_comment>
> + <_comment>fonts</_comment>

Should probably be "font".

> <mime-type type="application/x-gnumeric">
> - <_comment>GNUmeric spreadsheet</_comment>
> + <_comment>Gnumeric workbook</_comment>

Should probably be "spreadsheet" instead.

> <mime-type type="application/x-lhz">
> - <_comment>LHA archive</_comment>
> + <_comment>LHZ archive</_comment>

Should probably say "LZH archive" instead.

Should perhaps be singular here.

Should "rasterfile" be lowercased?

Perhaps s/document/image/ here.

Should probably be "folder".
